Compliance and Inspection Framework for plumbing
On 1 July 2004, a new statewide compliance and inspection framework under the management of the Plumbers Licensing Board was implemented.
The new framework provided for
- uniform plumbing standards across the State;
- self-certification; and
- proactive compliance related activites, including
- random audits of plumbing work carried out; and
- regular compliance checks of licensed plumbing contractors.
