All major plumbing work, except emergency work, will require the lodgment of a notice of intention to the Board at least 24 hours prior to any work being undertaken. A licensed plumbing contractor must not carry out or permit or arrange for major plumbing work to be carried out unless a notice of intention for the work has been lodged with the PLB.
A notice of intention can only be lodged by the licensed plumbing contractor to which it is registered and it must be filled out in its entirety. Partially filled or unreadable notices will not be accepted.
If applicable, the new installation fee is payable at the time of lodging the notice of intention for the work with the Plumbers Licensing Board.
What if emergency work is being carried out?
