What is plumbing work?
Plumbing work applies to water supply, sanitary or drainage plumbing specified in the Regulations and can include the installation of taps and sinks, hot water systems, property drainage and sewer conversions. Plumbing fixtures, installations and systems are fundamental components of all residential, commercial and industrial developments throughout the State.
All plumbing work needs to meet high standards on an ongoing basis to ensure there is a safe supply of drinking water and no associated risk of contamination from the ineffective disposal of waste.
